n delta air lines to install new business cabin
Delta Air Lines is to install a new premium BusinessElite cabin by the end of this summer after deciding to scrap its first-class seating. Seats will have a 60in pitch and will recline into a bed. Premium passengers will also benefit from priority check-in, boarding and baggage handling. Passengers who wish to travel first class can also be booked withcodeshare partners Swissair and Air France.

China Airlines has reintroduced first-class cabins on its Amsterdam-Bangkok-Taipei route. The move follows the switch from MD-11 aircraft to larger Boeing 747-400s.The flights operate six times a week with connectionsfrom the UK. The airline will also install new first-class seats across its fleet by the end of 2000.

British Airways has introduced a new amenity kit in first-class on long-haul flights. They will change every season sothat passengers can have the latest products available.Toiletries are divided into three sections, for take-off,cruising and landing, to suit all parts of the journey.The kits include Aroma Therapeutics Sleep EnhancerSpray to help passengers sleep in the airline’s beds.
