Fred Olsen offer is just cruising for a bruising
What has happened to Fred Olsen Cruise Lines?A company that at one time commanded respect within the industry but Ihasten to add, no more. Not content with ruining thousands of people’s holidays on board Black Watch (including the long-awaited and much-hyped Christmas and millennium cruise, which was featured by BBC’s Watchdog) by allowing their ship to repeatedly sail with gastroenteritis on board.
They now expect those clients who are trying to claim compensation to be fobbed off with a 25% discount voucher off a future cruise – as if anyone would consider cruising with them again after all this.
Their cavalier attitude in the first instance by continuing to allow the ship to sail and infect the new intake clients is irresponsible but then to expect people to wait over two-and-a-half months for compensation in the form of a voucher is unforgivable, insulting and inexcusable.
So come on Fred Olsen, hold your hands up and make a realistic offer of compensation to all those clients holidays you ruined.
If Airtours can do it so can you.
