n go launches routes



Go is to launch two routes from Stansted this summer as it prepares to axe up to three existing flights. On April 19 it starts daily flights to Naples at £90 return and on May 25 four-weekly services to Reykjavik begin at £120 return. Thelow-cost carrier is dropping Zurich and Lyons flights from Stansted at the end of the winter, while Stansted-Munich services have yet to be scheduled for the summer. Go has also applied to the Civil Aviation Authority to launch flights from Stansted to Istanbul, Budapest and Warsaw.



n commission changes



Air France is poised to unveil changes to its commission structure. UK and Ireland commercial director Thierry de Bailleul will reveal Air France’s response to British Airways’ move to drop commissions in March.The carrier isexpected to announce a drop from its 9% commission rate.



n tipto appointment



Travelscene sales director John Harding has been appointed the new chairman of the Truly Independent Professional Travel Organisation. He replaces French Life chief executive Warren Sandral who said he would stand down after six months once TIPTO was up and running.



n new airtours sale



Airtours Holidays has launched a Clearance Sale brochure for departures between March 24 and July 18 featuringshort-haul discounts of up to £400 per couple. Meanwhile, Airtours-owned Travelworld will open an agency in Glossop in Derbyshire this week, bringing the number of branches in the Huddersfield-based chain to 136.
