CTC promotes coach travel
The Coach Tourism Council has launched a nationwide campaign to increase the number of groups that use coaches to travel to attractions such as the Millennium Dome.Coach tour operators who are members of the CTC recently invited over 1,000 of their key group organisers from across the country on a visit to the Dome using coach transportation. The goal was to highlight how easy and cost effective coach travel can be when dealing with groups.
The CTC expects the return from such a promotion to be 20,000 new coach users in the coming year.
The next promotional trip will bring between 1,200 and 1,400 group organisers to Rheged, a new attraction in the Lake District this autumn. Rheged is the largest grass-covered building housing the UK’s largest cinema.
