Commodore moves into tour operating
Business travel company Commodore International Travel is expanding into tour operating with the launch of a Central and Eastern European programme this month.The new Mastertours programme will be similar to that of Fregata Travel, the Central and Eastern Europe specialist which ceased operating in January.
Former Fregata product manager Jeremy Anderson has taken a similar role with Mastertours and ex-Fregata colleague Tim Campbell is joining as tour operations manager.
City-break destinations include Kiev, Odessa, Moscow, St Petersburg, Gdansk, Warsaw, Crakow, Budapest, Prague, Bucharest, Sofia, Berlin, Vienna, Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn.
Tours include the seven-night Rise and Fall of the Iron Curtain to Poland, priced from £892. “It mixes sightseeing with ideology, giving people an insight into what life was like behind the Iron Curtain,” said Anderson.
