Avis Europe signs JAL frequent-flyer programme deal


AVIS Europe has signed a partnership agreement with Japan Airlines, which will see the car-rental company included in the carrier’s frequent-flyer programme.



The deal increases the number of airline loyalty programmes that Avis participates around the world to 40. JAL’s scheme, called Mileage Bank, has 7m members.



In the Asia-Pacific region alone, Avis has already signed agreements with Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Thai Airways, Eva Air and Royal Brunei Airlines.



JALMileage Bank members will earn mileage credits towards free flights and upgrades when they rent a car with Avis worldwide.



In addition, Avis will offer special discounts and value-added offers to members of the scheme.
