Thomson moves on Spanish properties
THOMSON has continued the battle for long-term accommodation in Spain by signing a joint venture deal with Spanish hotel groups Mar Confort and Med Playa.The venture, announced at Thomson’s annual general meeting, is already targeting the 364-room, four-star Hotel Flamingo Oasis in Benidorm.
Meanwhile, the operator re-iterated that a 145p a share bid from German operator C&N will not gain board approval.
Chief executive Charles Gurassa said the firm remains in an offer period and was unable to comment on current trading.
