n future pow wows to be held in southern USThe southern region of the US will be the focus for future Pow Wows. Next year, it will be in Orlando, Florida, May 5-9, while the following year it will be staged in New Orleans, Louisiana, from May 25-29. For 2003 it is in St Louis, Missouri, from May 17-21.
n universal studios puts hotels on-line
Representatives from Florida’s Universal Studios Escape will be giving Pow Wow buyers details of the theme park’s next hotels to come on-line. These include the 650-room Hard Rock Café, opening later this year, and the 1,000-room Royal Pacific Resort, opening next year.
n six-day best of route 66 details revealed
Delegates will get details and net rates of a six-day Best of Route 66 flydrive ground package that includes overnight stays in Chicago and Springfield, Illinois, and St Louis, Missouri. It is offered by Discovery Tours and includes five nights’ worth of hotel vouchers. It costs from $279 net per person twin share.
n vip programme from shop america alliance
Shop America Alliance, which represents shopping centres across the US, is introducing a Shop America VIP programme with cash incentives for tour operators. Customised vouchers are issued with bar codes so when a client uses them, they are tracked to the tour operator supplier, which is rewarded with a cash bonus.
