Canadian Airlines and Air Canada close links

CANADIANAirlines is relocating its operations from Heathrow Terminal Four to Terminal Three to be alongside owner Air Canada.

From June 1, passengers travelling to Canada from Heathrow will be able to use joint-Air Canada/Canadian check-in facilities.

Canadian Airlines’ business passengers will have access to Air Canada’s Maple Leaf Lounge located at gate 12D, while passengers arriving from Canada will be able to use Air Canada’s arrivals lounge, which includes shower facilities and a business centre.

Canadian Airlines and Air Canada are also operating a full codeshare service on all flights between the UKand Canada from June 2, which will also extend to Canadian domestic flights and transborder flights between Canada and the US.

The combined summer 2000 operation from Heathrow will offer up to 15 daily non-stop scheduled flights to Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, St John’s, Halifax, Calgary and Vancouver.

Toronto Airport is also adopting the joint venture, and all Canadian Airlines/Air Canada international departures will now operate from Terminal One instead of terminals two and three.

Next month Canadian also moves from the Oneworld consortium that it co-founded last year to join Air Canada’s Star Alliance.
