n Catherine Hickey has joined destinex.com as business travel manager. She formerly worked for PCCas European sales manager. Dan Spacie has also joined as IT operations and project manager. He previously worked for Agency.com as project management director.n Simon Edsall has been named as the new managing director of P&OPortsmouth. He was previously director of P&Odevelopments.
n Thistle Hotels has announced the appointments of Stephen Young as finance director. He was previously group finance director of the AA. Stuart Burnett also joins Thistle as chief operating officer. He was previously finance director of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.
n Blackpool Pleasure Beach has appointed Trevor White to the newly created position of travel trade sales manager. He previously worked in the tourism department at Morecambe local authority.
n Stewart Travel has appointed Pauline Murray and Dennis Black to its management team. Murray joins the company as cruise manager and previously worked for P&OCruises. Black is the new corporate travel development executive. He previously worked for Roche Products Ltd.
