We did it…we got through January. And what a month it was.
Despite a slow start, the second half of the month saw bookings for travel agents and suppliers on the rise.
It’s what we had all wanted and cautiously anticipated.
The last week of January saw us at Cosmos and Globus have our best booking week since 2013 – yes, 2013.
And what do I pin that success down too? Love…and a few other factors.
The combination of the relaxation of travel restrictions and having strong deals in the market at the right time was part of the encouragement needed to entice customers to make that holiday booking.
But it was also our love for travel agents and our guests.
Throughout the pandemic we made sure that we stayed visible.
We kept our sales team on the front line, supporting travel agents throughout, we kept the communication lines open, we provided consistent updates and we did the right thing by agents and by our guests – always.
Our love for agents has never faltered. And when customers were ready to book again, and travel agents were dealing with new enquiries, that hard work paid off and you all remembered us. Thank you.
February is the month of love – and travel is full of love. We work in this wonderful industry as travel is our passion – the places we visit, the people meet, the things we get to experience.
Touring holidays are full of love too – passion, friendship and expanding your perspective of the world.
Guests can pick their passion on a touring holiday.
Are they art lovers, foodies, history buffs or music lovers?
Tour operators have tours to suit a multitude of passions.
As for the tour guides and directors who hail from the regions to which guests are travelling, no one will be more familiar, eager or passionate to share insider knowledge to bring the destinations to life.
Touring holidays also provide friendship. In addition to the local people that guests will meet throughout their journeys, they will enjoy the company of like-minded travel companions.
Experiencing a dream destination is blissful. Experiencing it with compatible travel companions who share interests and passions is simply joyful.
The world is opening again. Together, let’s take people beyond the guidebooks – let us show them the legendary landmarks, the must-see sites, show them the world that we love and have been dreaming of for so long.
