Aegean Airlines will become the ninth airline to relocate to Manchester airport’s newly expanded Terminal Two when the Greek carrier moves to the facility on Tuesday (July 27).
The Terminal Two extension opened to the public on July 14, with Jet2.com and Tui operating from there in the first week.
Singapore Airlines, Etihad Airways, Qatar Airways, Brussels Airlines, airBaltic and Ethiopian Airlines have followed suit in moving operations to the expanded terminal.
Aegean Airlines will operate services to Athens from Terminal Two on a thrice-weekly basis from Tuesday.
The airport said more airlines will move to Terminal Two during the summer as international travel restrictions ease.
World Duty Free Express opened in the terminal’s departures hall at the weekend, offering the retailer’s most popular products.
The main World Duty Free unit, which has been operating since the new terminal opened its doors, offers a full selection of the brand’s stock.
Furthermore, Pret-a-Manger and Starbucks are due to open in early August in the arrivals hall as footfall is expected to rise in line with the further easing of travel restrictions.
