Aer Lingus Regional expands summer Belfast network

New routes from Belfast to Jersey and Newquay form part of an expanded summer 2023 schedule by Emerald Airlines, the operator of Aer Lingus Regional services.

The timetable from March 26 covers a total of 23 routes, including 13 from Dublin and ten from Belfast. 

Destinations served from Dublin include Aberdeen, Birmingham, Bristol, Donegal, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow, Isle of Man, Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle, Newquay and Southampton.

Routes served from Belfast City airport are to Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow, Jersey, Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Newquay and Southampton.

Jersey will be served twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays from May 6 and Newquay four times a week from April 3.

The carrier, which had more than 1.5 million seats available this summer, is continuing to increase frequencies and services.

Head of commercial Ciaran Smith said: “As we enter into a busy winter season, we are thrilled to be announcing our summer 2023 schedule, which will see the extension of a number of our winter routes, including Dublin-Aberdeen and Dublin-Southampton.

“We are also pleased to be bolstering our Belfast schedule with the addition of two sought-after routes; Newquay and Jersey.

“We anticipate these new routes to be popular amongst those travelling for both business and leisure purposes, and we look forward to providing that increased connectivity to and from Belfast.”
