Agent commission edit functionality part of Gold Medal website overhaul

Agents can edit their commission prior to confirming a booking as part of a revamped Gold Medal website.

The functionality has been on the radar for many of the brand’s key agent partners as part of a range of improvements driven by insight from the trade.

As it is at quote level, this is available for any individual components such as a flight only, hotel only, or holiday packages.

Digital product director Jamie Greystock said: “When asking agents for their thoughts on what improvements we could make to the website, the ability to edit commission came through strongly on multiple occasions.

“We have implemented this now successfully and it is a really simple step for agents to follow, I would encourage anyone who hasn’t already, to give it a go on their next online booking.”

The new-look debits also includes a technology training hub, service hub and marketing hub.

Agents can also use a newly configured and upgraded holidays ‘funnel’ tool which allows them to search for and book holiday packages in just a few clicks.

The flagship dnata Travel Group UK B2B brand has been working for 18 months on the enhancements.

Greystock added: “The main goal was, and continues to be, is creating an agent website, with agents.

“With their guidance, requests, and insight we will continue to build a functional tool that meets their needs. A lot of investment from both agents and our experienced team has allowed us to create something we are incredibly proud of and are excited to share.”

“The website now has the functions to support agents in creating the absolute best holidays for their customers wanting to book with Gold Medal, and offers an abundance of content and helpful tips for agents to follow.”

As part of Gold Medal’s ‘digital discovery’ focus, agents who make an online booking via goldmedal.co.uk will have the chance to win prizes of £150, £250 or £500 in Farebank rewards until July 31.
