Air Canada is to fly up to four times a week between Montreal and London and offer daily flights between Vancouver and the UK capital from August.
The carrier unveiled details of its planned international programme, which includes the resumption of 17 routes and 11 destinations worldwide.
The Montreal-Heathrow service will resume on August 3, with capacity on the Vancouver-Heathrow route – which has already resumed – to be boosted next month.
The international schedule also includes resumption of three weekly flights between Toronto and Dublin from August 1.
Services from Toronto to Athens, Dubai, Rome, Lisbon, Vienna, Paris and Zurich; and from Montreal to Casablanca, Athens, Rome, Geneva, Tel Aviv and Lisbon; plus a service between Calgary and Frankfurt, are also included in the programme. Some will be restarting on the new dates, with others that have already resumed having a capacity boost.
Mark Galardo, Air Canada’s senior vice president, network planning and revenue management, said: “As travel restrictions ease across the globe, we are committed to rebuild our international network and continue as a global carrier to connect Canada to the world, while also developing additional markets and targeting new opportunities.”
Customers have the option of a full refund to the original form of payment, an Air Canada Travel Voucher or the equivalent value in Aeroplan Points with a 65% bonus should the airline cancel or reschedule a flight by more than three hours.
