Air France launches Heathrow to Nice summer service

Air France has started selling seats for new summer flights between Heathrow and Nice.

Operating from July until August 28, the daily Airbus 320 service will carry up to 178 passengers.

Fahmi Mahjoub, general manager of Air France and KLM in the UK and Ireland, said: “Operating daily flights during the summer is a testament to the potential that we see in this route.

“I am positive that our UK customers who fly from London will appreciate the fact that they can catch a direct flight from Heathrow to the beautiful French Riviera and we look forward to welcoming them on board.”

Tickets are available from the airline’s website and travel agencies.

Currently, fully vaccinated arrivals in France from the UK must take a pre-departure test. Last weekend, the 24-hour testing window before departure was extended to 48 hours.

Several newspapers have reported that France’s European Affairs minister, Clément Beaune, said the test requirement is to be scrapped – but there are no details yet of when the change will take place.
