American Express has opened its first Centurion Lounge in the UK at Heathrow.
Platinum and Centurion American Express card holders can access the new lounge in Terminal 3.
The nearest Centurion Lounge for British American Express customers was previously in Stockholm.
American Express said the “new lounge will look to embody London’s vibrancy and charm while nodding to the signature features American Express Cardmembers enjoy globally”.
The new space features local custom-made design elements and amenities.
The lounge’s menu is curated by Michelin-starred chef Assaf Granit. Dishes include Kubalah bread, fried pita chips with tahini, and a beef and lamb dish called shakshukit with confit tomatoes and tahini.
