Avianca is to resume flights between London and Bogota in Colombia next spring.
A daily Heathrow frequency is scheduled to operate from March 27, 2022, making about 3,500 weekly seats available.
The move follows the UK’s lifting of entry restrictions for travellers from South America.
The Columbian carrier last month announced Boeing 787 Dreamliners as providing its “definitive fleet” for long-haul flights.
Sales and distribution vice president Catalina Nannig said: “We are pleased to resume direct flights between the United Kingdom and Colombia, offering more and better options to our customers traveling between Europe and Latin America.
“For our long-haul flights, we will maintain the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet with an executive cabin and an economy cabin.”
