British Airways is adding winter routes from Heathrow to Riga, Belgrade, Cologne and Turin.
A weekly link from Heathrow to Turin will be available on Sundays from December 10 in addition to a daily service from Gatwick.
The airline will also will continue Heathrow operations into the winter to Ljubljana four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
A new route to Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen airport will become a year-round destination from Heathrow four times a week to complement a service to Istanbul airport.
The Heathrow network expansion will see the airline fly to more than 120 short-haul destinations from the London hub.
A weekly Sunday service from London City airport to Milan Linate is being re-introduced to complement existing flights from Heathrow.
BA Cityflyer’s route to San Sebastian from London City has been extended to go year-round for the first time with flights on Thursdays and Sundays.
Network and alliances director Neil Chernoff said: “We are excited to be adding European cities Riga, Belgrade and Cologne to our route network.
“These are destinations that we think our customers will love, offering an alternative to some of the more well-known cities we fly to.
“We also know that Italy in particular is a firm favourite with our customers, so we look forward to adding more capacity with flights to Milan and Turin, alongside more choice across Europe generally.”
