Corendon Airlines hikes capacity as Turkey is removed from red list

Additional Gatwick and Manchester flights to Bodrum have been confirmed by Corendon Airlines for summer 2022 as overall UK capacity is raised to 500,000 seats.

The expansion follows booking levels more than doubling in the past week as Turkey is removed from the UK red list from 4am on September 22.

The new flights will operate from Gatwick and Manchester to Bodrum.

The new routes are in addition to existing regional departures from Glasgow, Newcastle and Birmingham to Antalya and Dalaman.

These are in addition to a new daily service from Gatwick to Antalya and flights from Gatwick and Manchester to Crete and Rhodes.

The full summer 2022 UK schedule will now total 45 flights and 16 different routes.

Corendon commercial director Mine Aslan said: “We were delighted to see Turkey removed from the red list and saw an immediate impact in overall booking levels.

“Our summer 2022 bookings have continued to remain very strong over the last few months, but I am sure that we will now see even greater demand from the UK.

“We have over 500,000 seats on sale for summer 2022 from the UK and we are delighted to add the new Bodrum services to our existing programme.

Aslan added: “Support from the trade and the regional airports has been fantastic, over a very difficult period.

“We are delighted to announce our new Bodrum services, and we will continue to look at additional regional routes and new destination airports in order to expand our summer 2022 programme.

“We have increased our trade distribution substantially over the last six months and are keen to work with and support as many agents as possible to support our 2022 expansion.”
