The Irish Travel Agents Association’s annual conference in Turkeythis autumnhas been moved back by a week.
The event will now take place on October 17-22 in Antalya and will now be staged a week ahead of the Abta Travel Convention in Bodrum on October 30-November 1.
Registration details for the Itaa gathering, originally to be staged on October 10-15, will be announced in due course. No explanation was given for the change of date.
However, SunExpress has a direct service from Dublin to Antalya on October 17 and back on October 22, in addition to flights via Izmir on October 18 with a special fare for the Itaa conference.
Itaa chief executive Pat Dawson, who is due to retire from the role this month after 13 years, said: “Please update your diaries with this date change. We are thrilled to be welcomed by the Turkish Tourism Board and are very excited to experience the wonders of Antalya.
“We know that Turkey is very popular with the Irish holidaymaker with 136,608 Irish tourists visiting last year. We are very excited to see this popular destination.”
