Deadline extended for Globe Travel Awards nominations

The deadline for nominations for the Travel Weekly Globe Travel Awards has been extended by a week to reflect the period of mourning for Queen Elizabeth II.

Nominations for the supplier awards in a range of categories will now stay open until Wednesday, October 5, with frontline agents able to put forward their best partners for consideration for the shortlists.

A range of categories are also open for suppliers to put forward entries, including two new awards recognising excellence in the fields of sustainability and staff wellbeing.

These awards remain open for entries until the original deadline of Wednesday, October 26.

The shortlists for the supplier awards will be published in November, at which point voting will open to allow agents to support their top suppliers.

The awards will be presented at a glittering ceremony at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on Thursday, January 12, as the event returns to its traditional new year date for the first time since the pandemic.
