Eastern Airways has increased capacity on its Gatwick to Newquay Cornwall service to cope with high demand over the summer.
The regional carrier, based at Humberside airport, currently offers a twice-daily service but has added a third flight at midday on Monday, Thursday and Friday.
The airline said the expansion will “give more options” for passengers travelling to Cornwall as well as for those visiting the capital from the county.
Roger Hage, general manager of Eastern Airways, said: “As we hit the peak summer school period, increasing connectivity for those using this already popular service is key for Eastern Airways.
“The introduction of the midday service now provides a greater range of options for individuals, couples and families that are relying on this time efficient service.”
The flight takes 75-minutes on Eastern Airways’ ATR72-600 aircraft, compared to a minimum of about five hours by car and seven hours by train. Prices start from £44.99 per person.
