Hays Travel has branded its latest exclusive fly-cruise charters a success as it promotes its winter 2025 and 2026 programme.
The retailer took 2,000 customers to Barbados to join P&O Cruises’ ships this winter.
Hays said all six flights sold out and received hailed positive customer feedback after it offered departures out of Belfast, Newcastle, Bristol, Stansted, Glasgow and Bournemouth between November 2023 and March 2024.
The programme took 300 customers on each flight along with escorts from Hays Travel who were on hand during their two-week cruise holiday and at the airport to help passengers to check in.
Nicola Callaghan, Hays Travel South Shields branch manager, was at Newcastle Airport to greet customers as they left for their fly-cruise.
She said: “It was such a great way to start off their cruise and there was a great atmosphere at the airport with everyone in high spirits.”
Hays Travel Cruise communications and engagement executive Angela Flynn said: “The P&O charters have been such a success. All six flights were sold out and we have had so much positive feedback from customers.
“Customers have expressed how well they were looked after – from being greeted at the airport with smiling faces and a drink to knowing that there were Hays Travel representatives onboard the ship if they had any questions or concerns. And travelling from their local airport direct to Barbados obviously made things so much more convenient and offered great value for money.”
Hays Travel reported on the programme’s performance as it promoted its 2025 and 2026 fly-cruises, which have already gone on sale.
Flynn said winter 2025 and 2026 fly-cruises were selling “exceptionally fast”, adding: “We advise customers to get in touch now if they’d like some winter sun to look forward to.”
Prices start from £1,949 with a 10% deposit for the same regional airports and flights to Barbados, as well as additional flights from Stansted and Manchester.
