Jet2.com and Jet2holidays add 20,000 seats to Italy

An additional 20,000 seats to Italy are being laid on by Jet2.com and Jet2holidays with extended summer flying next year and in 2025.

The expansion means the summer 2024 season is being extended until mid-November in response to strong demand.

Flights and holidays are also being added in April and November 2025.

The development sees extra capacity available to Sardinia, Sicily and Verona.

The extension into mid-November next year involves more flights to Sicily from Manchester airport and Stansted.

Additional April 2025 flights have been also put on sale to Sicily from Birmingham, Edinburgh, Leeds-Bradford and Stansted, timed for Easter. 

Extra flights have also been added to Sicily from Birmingham, Manchester and Stansted in late summer 2025.

Sardinia sees more September, October and November flights in 2024 from Manchester and more November flights from Stansted.

The early summer 2025 season to Sardinia sees additional flights in April from Birmingham, Manchester and Stansted.

Verona gains October 2024 flights from Edinburgh, East Midlands, Leeds-Bradford and Newcastle.

Easter 2025 capacity has been added from Birmingham, Edinburgh and Manchester and more flights in September and October from Belfast International, Edinburgh, East Midlands, Leeds-Bradford and Newcastle.

Chief executive Steve Heapy said: “Our Italian programme is enjoying strong demand, which comes as no surprise when you consider the stunning beach holiday and city break options that it offers customers and independent travel agents. 

“Sicily, Sardinia and Verona are a trio of Italian delights, and today’s announcement represents a significant expansion of all three destinations. 

“Based on the demand we are seeing, we expect these flights and holidays to sell very quickly, as customers look to escape to these magical destinations.”
