Jet2 holidays tightens booking terms after agent feedback

Jet2holidays has tightened its booking and cancellation terms, after agents urged operators to reduce flexibility introduced to foster consumer confidence during the pandemic.

The operator said it had listened to its agency partners and had received “overwhelmingly positive” feedback.

Standard amendment fees now start from £50pp, excluding date of birth changes, which remain at £10. The £50 rate is an increase of £10 from £40pp.

Fees inside the 28-day window range start from £75pp, with any cancellation charges from accommodation provider on top of that.

The operator said: “Jet2holidays is totally committed to supporting independent travel agents so that they can continue to grow their businesses and succeed.

“We are always listening to our agency partners, and they have made us aware that some of the conditions introduced during the pandemic are not as relevant today, thanks to the welcome return of international travel.”

It added: “In line with that feedback, we have made some changes to our terms and conditions to support agency partners in this positive climate, for instance by reducing amendments and cancellations.

“Since communicating this update to our agency partners, the feedback we have received has been overwhelmingly positive.”
