Jet2 resumes Iceland services with Glasgow departure

Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks trips to Iceland have resumed with a flight from Glasgow.

Scheduled services are also planned from Manchester and Birmingham airports between February and April, as well as trips from seven other UK airports – Belfast International, Edinburgh, East Midlands, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Newcastle and Stansted.

The company will fly twice-weekly Monday and Thursday flights to Iceland from Birmingham and Manchester during key times this winter.

Scheduled services are available from February 10 until April 25 from both bases, with stays of three-nights or more available over the February half-term and Easter.

A programme of 22 three and four-night trips will operate until April from the other departure airports.

Holidays are based on flights to Keflavík airport near Reykjavik.

Jet2 chief executive Steve Heapy said: “We are delighted to be resuming our programme of scheduled services and dedicated trips to Iceland from nine UK bases.

“As travel starts to return to normal, we are seeing strong demand for flights and holidays to this bucket list destination as customers look to make the most of being able to enjoy the unrivalled natural wonders of Iceland once again.

“With a leading regional programme of departures available from across nine of our UK bases, our customers have the biggest and best flexibility when it comes to visiting the Nordic island.”
