Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have warned customers about scammers who are impersonating the brands on social media.
In a message posted on Twitter on Friday, the airline and tour operator urged people to avoid getting duped by “fake accounts”.
The message stated: “We’re aware of unverified accounts contacting our customers.
“Please be aware of these fake accounts and remain vigilant. If you need to contact us please send us a direct message on our verified account – jet2tweets (we’ve got the gold tick in case you’re unsure).
“Please report any suspicious activity and we will continue to work directly with Twitter to minimise these occurrences.
“We will never ask customers for bank details over social media.”
Other companies which have reported similar experiences in the past include Tui and easyJet.
