Jet2holidays has added hundreds of thousands of free child places across the school holidays, meaning there are more being offered than ever.
The extra places, added to the millions that were already available, have been introduced because of an expected growth in demand this weekend.
Jet2 chief executive Steve Heapy said: “With the schools going back this week, we are seeing demand for family holidays increase as people get planning and booking their holidays.”

Jet2holidays reported significant demand for late bookings over winter, with the summer programme also selling well.
Top-selling destinations include the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands, mainland Spain, Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, Portugal, Italy, Malta and Bulgaria.
Heapy said: “We have never had so many ‘free child place’ holidays available, with millions up for grabs.”
He added: “With so many people flocking to book their well-deserved holidays, we are working hard to support our valued agency partners and our advice to customers is visit your local independent travel agent now and get the best advice, best deals and best holidays.”
Jet2holidays’ ongoing ‘Prepare2Peak’ campaign allows agents to offer customers a £60 discount per person on all holidays, which is an extra £10 off compared with the standard offer for direct customers.
The operator is also giving agents the chance to win a place on a Destination Discovery. To be in with a chance of winning one of the 100 spots available, a booking must be made before February 29.
