Colombian carrier Avianca has been rated as the most on-time global airline.
No UK airline featured in the 2023 table of the world’s most punctual airlines calculated by aviation data firm Cirium.
The listing, published on Tuesday, shows that almost 86% of Avianca flights operated on time last year.
Brazilian airline Azul was the second-best global performer followed by Qatar Airways, Delta Air Lines, Iberia, Latam Airlines, All Nippon Airways, Japan Airlines, Saudia and American Airlines.
The 10 European airlines with the best on-time records in 2023 were listed as Iberia Express, Iberia, Austrian Airlines, Lot Polish Airlines, Norwegian Air, Vueling, Finnair, Norwegian Air Sweden, Icelandair and KLM.
South African carrier Safair was ranked as the most punctual low-cost airline, with Norwegian Air in sixth position and Vueling ninth.
Minneapolis-St Paul international was the best global airport for punctuality, one of five in the US making the top 10.
UK airports failed to make the Cirium top 10 listings covering global, large, medium and small airports.
