Short break specialist Omega Breaks said it has been so “overwhelmed” by the responses from agents to its Northern Lights competition that it has picked six additional winners.
To enter the Northern Lights Flight Experience competition, agents had to tell the operator who they would take with them and why.
Initially one pair of seats was on offer as the prize but it soon became clear that it would be impossible to pick just one winner.
Now, seven agents and their guests have won the opportunity to join a trip searching for the Aurora Borealis in the night sky, away from any light pollution and cloud, accompanied by an expert astronomy team.
Claire Dutton, trade sales manager at Omega Breaks, said: “The response to this competition was incredible. I found reading through all the entries unbelievably emotional.
“We had so many stories, from agents wanting to treat colleagues who had worked tirelessly through the pandemic, to those who wanted to spoil family members who were teachers, servicemen or worked on Covid wards.
“Everyone knows how hard agents have worked over the last 18 months and how challenging it has been for them and their families and I couldn’t pick just one winner.
“We wanted to give them something to look forward to and treat them to an unforgettable experience, ticking something off their bucket list.”
Prizes will be taken between October 2021 and March 2022 from a selected UK airports.
