A lack of charter aircraft availability has forced P&O Cruises to cancel a series of winter Caribbean fly-cruises.
All sailings by Britannia from St Lucia are affected between October this year and March 2021.
Fly-cruises from Barbados will be going ahead as planned.
In a letter to affected passengers, the line added: “Unfortunately this means that the holiday you had booked on board Britannia can no longer go ahead. We are sorry for the disappointment this will cause.”
Those impacted will receive a future cruise credit worth 125% of the standard deposit terms and 100% of any additional money paid. The FCC can be redeemed against any new booking made by the end of the year on cruises available until April 2023.
Refunds are also being offered via a form on the company’s website with a deadline of December 31.
“We are working to process all new and outstanding refund requests as quickly as possible,” P&O Cruises added.
“Due to the extraordinary circumstances associated with Covid-19 we are dealing with an unprecedented level of refunds at this time so please bear with us.”
