Ryanair gained a festive period boost with December passenger carryings rising by 21% year-on-year.

Europe’s largest budget airline saw numbers rise to 11.5 million.

This gave an annual total of 160.4 million passengers flown in 2022 – up 121% on the previous year.

The December load factor rose by 11 percentage points to 92% over the same month in 2021 as Ryanair operated more than 65,500 flights.
