Ryanair adds flights in place of rivals’ cancelled services

Ryanair has added more than 200 flights to its schedule, with discounted “rescue” services available to book until midnight on Thursday.

The carrier said it had introduced the new flights and prices to support customers disrupted by the cancellation of British Airways, easyJet and Tui services.

The additional services include flights from Birmingham to Lanzarote, Bristol to Ibiza and Edinburgh to Gran Canaria.

Marketing director Dara Brady said: “Today we have added over 200 extra flights from/to our 19 UK airports to help the BA, easyJet and Tui customers who have been disrupted by these cancellations.

“UK families can now rest easy in the knowledge that Ryanair will fly them to/from their summer holiday destination to enjoy some well-deserved time off with friends and family.”
