Ryanair adds flights to France for Rugby World Cup fans

Budget carrier Ryanair has added extra flights to cater for British fans travelling to the Rugby World Cup in France next month.

Extra capacity has been laid on for key routes to Marseille, Nice and Paris, with 30 additional flights now available to/from Edinburgh, Manchester, and London.

Dara Brady, Ryanair’s marketing director, said: “We’ve had record bookings from rugby fans travelling this year for what is set to be a spectacular Rugby World Cup taking place throughout France.

“To celebrate this year’s highly anticipated event we are excited to be adding additional flights between the UK and France on key routes including Edinburgh to Paris, London to Marseille, London to Nice and more, to bring even more fans to and from all the big games.”

With England playing Argentina in Marseille on September 9, extra departures have been laid on from Stansted and Manchester – along with more flights after the match.

Further capacity has been added between Edinburgh and Marseille as the French city will host the Scotland vs South Africa game on September 10.

More flights are available to Nice from Stansted to cater for the England vs Japan game in Stade de Nice (September 17).

Two of the quarter final matches will be held in Marseille (October 14 and 15), so extra flights have been laid on for fans departing from Stansted and Manchester.
