Shortlists unveiled as voting opens for 2025 Globe Travel Awards

The shortlists for the 2025 Travel Weekly Globe Travel Awards have been unveiled.

The shortlists were created based on nominations from frontline travel agents, with voting running until early December and the awards due to be presented at a ceremony in London on January 16.

The Globes are the largest leisure travel awards in the industry and the ceremony, held in partnership with consumer media partner Hearst UK, is widely regarded as the unofficial start to the new year for the travel trade.

Honours cover all sectors of the industry, including cruise, air, tour operators, destinations and ancillary companies, while special awards recognise excellence in areas including sustainability, accessibility and staff welfare.

Writing in a special voting supplement published alongside the November 14 edition of Travel Weekly, editor-in-chief Lucy Huxley said: “Our industry continues to exceed all expectations thanks to the passionate people who make it a success.

“Without their expertise, care, professionalism and positive attitude, the travel industry would not be the innovative sector it is today – one that powers change, connects the world and delivers incredible experiences.

“The Globes is an opportunity to celebrate all this and more, getting together to reflect on the triumphs of the previous year while looking forward to what’s to come.”

Voting for the agent-nominated categories runs until 5pm on Friday, December 6, with the winners set to be announced at JW Marriott Grosvenor House London on Thursday, January 16, 2025.
