Stansted is seeking to recruit 1,000 new staff ahead of an expected busy summer season.
Companies across the airport are starting to recruit early to ensure they are at full strength in time for the summer peak.
Stansted was one of the fastest recovering major airports in the UK from the pandemic, with passenger numbers topping 90% of 2019 levels by summer 2022 and into this winter.
A jobs fair is being held on February 7 involving companies such as Jet2, Ryanair, Titan Airways together with the airport and Border Force.
Belfast International airport is also holding its biggest ever jobs fair on January 28 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Belfast to resource and support growth.
More than 300 new jobs are available with a range of full time, part time and seasonal roles. Positions on offer include ground handling, security, retail, cleaning, and catering. The newly created roles reflect pos- pandemic confidence with the Northern Ireland airport on course to exceed 2019 passenger levels.
Passenger numbers are being boosted with the addition of Eastern Airways and a new Ryanair base alongside an eighth EasyJet aircraft, all helping to offer passengers more travel options to 70 destinations across the UK and Europe.
The Stansted showcase at the airport’s Radisson Blu Hotel will outline 200 different positions available across airport security, customer service, engineering and retail.
Employment and skills manager Nathan Mullane said: “After a very successful recruitment campaign which we kicked-off early last year to get Stansted ready for summer 2022, we’re now looking forward to this summer, which is expected to be even busier as passenger number continue to increase.
“More than 1,000 vacancies are available at the airport, including cabin crew, engineers, retail assistants, and hospitality workers.
“All of these jobs require training before applicants can begin working, so we’re beginning the application process now to make sure we’re at full strength for the summer.”
