Thailand fam trips planned via Eva Air collaboration

Taiwanese carrier Eva Air is to help boost tourism to Thailand via its global network.

Joint fam trips to Thailand for influencers, tour operators, travel agents, and other tourism and media representatives are planned to promote tourism to the country.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) will help Eva Air drive passengers from key strategic markets by supporting tour operators and travel agents across the airline’s network with promotional giveaways and packages, incentives and marketing.

Joint advertising campaigns in key markets and participation in TAT trade shows and roadshows for part of a co-operation proposal.

Eva Air serves Bangkok on routes to Taipai from London, Amsterdam, Paris, Milan, Munich and Vienna.

The airline also runs 28 flights a week between Taipei and Bangkok and daily flights to Chiang Mai.

Its long-haul network includes 84 flights a week between Bangkok and North America linking Thailand with Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Seattle, Houston, Toronto and Vancouver via Taipei.

Japan and South Korea are also served via the Taiwanese capital.

Eva Air president Clay Sun said: “By leveraging our extensive global network, we can help ensure that Thailand is permanently positioned on the international tourism map.”

TAT governor Yuthasak Supasorn said: “Together, TAT and Eva Air will make it even easier for travellers to embark on extraordinary journeys to Thailand, seamlessly connecting the world to the captivating wonders of the kingdom through its short-haul and long-haul flights.”
