Virgin Atlantic’s winter seasonal routes to Dubai and the Maldives will see frequencies increase to daily flights for the 2024-25 season.
A record number of flights are being scheduled to Barbados – the most popular destination in the carrier’s Caribbean portfolio – for winter 2024.
Double daily services will operate from Heathrow in addition to four flights a week flying from Manchester airport.
Barbados will operate double daily from October 27, 2024, with daily Dubai services resuming on the October 26, 2024 and daily Maldives on October 27.
The new frequencies will be on sale from Saturday (December 23).

“Our recent route launches to Dubai and the Maldives have already proved exceptionally popular and we’re pleased to offer more opportunities for our customers to reach these luxurious destinations in 2024 and 2025.
“We serve record number of Caribbean islands in 2024 with direct services from London Heathrow to Antigua, The Bahamas, Barbados, Grenada, Jamaica, St Lucia, St Vincent and The Grenadines, and Turks & Caicos.
“The introduction of twice daily flights from Heathrow to Barbados, alongside our four times a week service from Manchester, cement the island’s position as our most popular destination in the Caribbean. We know our customers love the island’s welcoming hospitality, warm climate and stunning resorts and can’t wait to fly a record number of holidaymakers to this incredible island next year.”
The airline will offer a record number of flights between London and New York next summer, with a seventh daily flight to JFK as part on transatlantic expansion unveiled last week
A total of 10 daily services are scheduled to New York together with joint venture partner Delta Air Lines.
Virgin Atlantic will also run a second daily flight to Boston, to give three a day in conjunction with Delta.
