Easter helped boost April carryings by Wizz Air.
The eastern and central European low fares carrier flew almost five million passengers during the month, a rise of more than 32% on April last year.
The airline’s passenger land factor was up by 7.5 percentage points to reach 90.9%.
Last month’s total gave an improved rolling annual total of 52.2 million passengers against 30.2 million covering the previous 12 months.
Wizz Air started serving Riyadh in Saudi Arabia from Sofia in Bulgaria and Naples in Italy last month.
