Virgin Voyages has expanded into eight new European source markets in the last three weeks.
The cruise line, which launched in 2021 and has a fleet of four ships, has opened sales in France and Italy, completing its second phase of European expansion.
This follows six European markets opening for business in the last three weeks which include The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
Earlier this year, Virgin Voyages added Spain, Portugal and Ireland, which it claims to have boosted its sales performance by nearly 50% within the first year.
This takes the cruise line’s footprint to 11 new markets in 2024, and there are plans to continue expansion in 2025 and beyond, with six additional markets “in scope”.
This comes as Virgin Voyages has announced its biggest ever European deployment in 2025, with Scarlet Lady and Resilient Lady to sail Mediterranean and norther Europe itineraries.
Matt Lebbern, Virgin Voyages head of European sales, said: “Within the last nine months, this brand has more than doubled its number of active source markets, showcasing our commitment to an international audience.
“We are very excited to open our doors locally in all of these markets, bringing our reimagined cruise experience to both the millions of existing cruisers and to those that may not have considered a cruise previously.”
Nirmal Saverimuttu, Virgin Voyages president and chief executive, added the expansion “sets us up for success” before the launch of the line’s newest ship, Brilliant Lady (pictured), next year.
