Carnival Cruise Line made a $50,000 donation to support Ukrainian relief efforts as it marked its 50th anniversary.
The sum went to non-profit organisation World Central Kitchen which provides meals in crisis areas.
The line employs more than 300 Ukrainian staff as part of a team of 40,000 from across 120 nationalities.
The donation came as part of an event on board the ship Carnival Conquest to celebrate half a century since its maiden voyage from Miami.
The company now carries about six million passengers on 23 ships from 14 US homeports.
Carnival has 22 ships back in service following the Covid-19 pandemic with the restart of Carnival Paradise sailings from Tampa in Florida.
The line is expanding its Terminal F at PortMiami, with completion due by the autumn. The facility will be among the first to be shore-power ready in 2023 and be the base for new ship Carnival Celebration, its second Excel-class ship to be powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG).
Carnival Cruise Line president Christine Duffy was joined by Carnival Corporation chairman Micky Arison and chief executive Arnold Donald at the ceremony on Friday.
