CroisiEurope plans ‘gradual resumption’ of operations

Cruise operator CroisiEurope plans a “gradual resumption” of operations from next month.

River and ocean cruises will resume from June to August, while cruises on the French canals will resume in July.

The first itinerary will be on Portugal’s river Douro on June 7, to be followed by other rivers over the following weeks and months, such as the Gironde, Seine, Rhine, Rhône, Danube and Po.

Ocean cruises begin in Croatia on June 10 and Corsica on July 4.

John Fair (pictured), UK sales director for CroisiEurope, said: “The entire CroisiEurope team has worked tirelessly to ensure the success of this restart and we can’t wait for our guests to once again experience the wonderful service, gastronomy, culture and itineraries for which we are renowned.

“Having successfully operated a number of cruises last year and with the introduction of even stricter health protocols, our guests can be assured warm welcome back onboard and a safe and enjoyable cruise.”

The ships have a Safeguard Certification Label to ensure proper health protocols.

There will also be a new procedure, Test & Board, which means passengers must provide proof of vaccination or a negative PCR or rapid antigen test before embarkation.
