Former Windstar Cruises global sales vice president Steven Simao has joined small ship line Variety Cruises.
He has been named by the Greek company as vice president pf sales for North America.
Simao previously worked for Seabourn, Holland America Line and Norwegian Cruise Line during a 30-year cruise industry career.
He was with Windstar for seven years before leaving in April 2022.
In his new role he will be work with Variety Cruises’s global team in Athens and New York, strategically aiming to increase brand awareness and achieve the company’s revenue goals in the North America.
Variety Cruises chief commercial officer Malvina Vonta said: “We are confident that his experience, passion and drive will add value to our North American and global teams and that our collaboration will generate outstanding results for us all in growing the North American market, by far representing 50% of our clientele.”
