Fred Olsen Cruise Lines to star in Channel 5’s Cruising with Susan Calman

Fred Olsen Cruise Lines flagship Bolette will star in Channel 5’s Cruise of a Lifetime later this month.

Presenter Susan Calman will join an eight-night Norwegian Fjords sailing from Liverpool in the episode.

The cruise will make stops in Olden, Ålesund, Åndalsnes and Geirganger, along with sailings around Nordfjord, Geirangerfjord and the Seven Sisters Waterfall.

Calman will visit the Briksdal Glacier, try kayaking in the Brosundet canal and ride the Loen Skylift and Romsdalen Gondola.

She will also travel on the Golden Train on the historic Rauma Line and learn about behind-the-scenes cruise operations.

Similar 2025 sailings to the one shown in the programme include Bolette’s eight-night Mountain Landscapes of the Norwegian Fjords cruise, departing from Liverpool on May 29 with prices leading in at £1,1119 per person.

There is also a nine-night Glaciers, Mountains and Fjords of Norway voyage departing from Liverpool on July 9 with prices starting at £1,309 per person.

Samantha Stimpson, Fred Olsen Cruise Lines chief executive, said: “We are all incredibly excited to see our flagship Bolette make her Channel 5 debut later this month.

“It was a pleasure to welcome Susan aboard our fleet for the first time, and I’d like to thank her for the time she spent with our guests and our crew.

“As a business, our heritage stems from Norway, and we are well-known for our sailings to this beautiful part of the world.

“Our fleet really comes into its own in the heart of the fjordlands thanks to the smaller size of our ships, which allow us to reach the depths of the fjords that aren’t accessible to larger vessels.

“To be able to share this experience far beyond those who joined us on-board for this cruise is a truly exceptional opportunity.”
