Marella Cruises has started 2025 with “record-breaking” passenger numbers during the second weekend of January.
Tui’s five-ship cruise line reported its passenger bookings were up 7% year on year for January 10-12, surpassing any previous weekend in its history.
The bookings came from Tui retail stores, independent agents, online and app bookings.
The top destinations booked for summer 2025 included Palma, Dubrovnik, Corfu and Limassol.
“We have kicked off 2025 with a bang,” said Chris Hackney, Marella Cruises managing director.
“More customers than ever are booking a Marella Cruise holiday, and that trend is across all distribution channels.
“Last year was Marella Cruises most successful year yet and we are already on track to beat that as we continue to offer incredible value with our Tui end-to-end service, regional flights from 22 local airports, and of course our all-inclusive proposition.”
