A ‘beach club ambience’ has been created with the revamp of an indoor pool and dining area on Marella Cruises’ ship Marella Discovery.
A Greco-Roman design in The Glass House has been swapped for a modern beach club vibe, according to the Tui-owned line.
The refit of part of the 1,800-passenger vessel sees the addition of cabanas, shutter-style room dividers and a revamped casual dining menu.
New sun loungers, dining tables, sofas, chairs, wall coverings and floors have been installed.
New lighting provides different light moods for daytime and evening to create the beach club ambience, the company said.
Marella Cruises last week extended its pause in operations until June 30.
Managing director Chris Hackney said: “We’re delighted with the refurbishment of The Glass House on Marella Discovery.
“We’re always thinking of ways we can make the experience on board even better for our customers and the revamped space offers the perfect spot for a poolside drink during the day or a laid-back dining option by night.”
