MSC Cruises has taken delivery of MSC Seascape in Italy ahead of the ship’s naming ceremony in New York next month.
The largest ship ever to be built in Italy completes the line’s Seaside class and is the 21st vessel in the MSC fleet.
Pierfrancesco Vago, executive chairman of MSC Cruises, and Pierroberto Folgiero, chief executive of shipbuilding firm Fincantieri, both attended the ceremony in Monfalcone, Italy.

MSC Seascape has 11 dining venues, 19 bars and lounges, with “options for al fresco dining and drinking” across nearly 13,000 squared metres of outdoor space.
Following MSC Seascape’s naming ceremony in New York on December 7, the 2,270 cabin-ship will operate Caribbean sailings from Miami.
MSC Cruises chief executive Gianni Onorato said: “MSC Seascape is the second ship to come into service this year bringing our modern fleet to 21 ships.
“We are proud to welcome her to our fleet as she is the second Seaside EVO ship and completes the innovative Seaside class.
“MSC Seascape aims to connect guests with the sea and offers a wealth of outdoor spaces allowing guests to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Caribbean, where she will spend her inaugural season.”
