MSC welcomes first passengers to new Barcelona Cruise Terminal

MSC Cruises welcomed its first passengers to its new cruise terminal in Barcelona over the weekend.

On February 15, the first passengers disembarked from MSC Fantasia into the “state-of-the-art” facility which will serve both MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys ships.

Sandra Yunta, director of MSC Barcelona Cruise Terminal (pictured, far right), and Gianluca Suprani, senior vice-president of global port development and shore activities, received the passengers with a special toast of cava (pictured, below far left).

The new building was developed by Ricardo Bofill Taller de Arquitectura and will be officially inaugurated in the coming months.
