Updated: NCL promotes UK boss Ferrin to international role

Eamonn Ferrin has been promoted by Norwegian Cruise Line to the role of vice president of international business.

In his new position, Ferrin will oversee NCL’s sales efforts outside the US and Canada and grow the company’s international footprint by deepening existing travel relationships, according to the company.

He joined the line in January 2019 as vice president and managing director for the UK, Ireland, Israel, South Africa and Middle East, having previously worked for Air Canada, Holidaybreak and MyTravel.

He will report to sales senior vice president Todd Hamilton.

Outside NCL, Ferrin serves as a member of the Clia executive committee and the Clia UK steering group.

NCL is recruiting for a senior sales director role to lead sales in the UK and Ireland reporting into Ferrin along with vice president and managing directors for Asia-Pacific and Continental Europe, Ben Angell and Kevin Bubolz; regional vice president business development Middle East & Africa, Nick Wilkinson; general manager Brazil, Estela Farina; and director business development Latin-America, Rudy Vasquez.

Ferrin said: “I am honoured and excited to lead NCL’s international business at such a defining moment for our company.

“Together with my new team and our valued travel partners, I look forward to continuing to expand our reach, capitalizing on the great global pent-up demand for cruising and the new opportunities on the horizon.”
